We know that a lot of attention is rightly on children on the run up to Christmas, but we are running this appeal to ask for your help in supporting lonely and vulnerable older people living in your communities across Leeds too.

There are currently 37,000 older people living in Leeds who are lonely or socially isolated. We all had a short taste of what it is like to miss social connections during the lockdowns in the last couple of years - imagine if there was no end to that feeling - if you literally had no-one. That is the reality for some older people every single day, week, month and year but made especially worse at Christmas time when all the talk is of spending time with loved ones.

At Age UK Leeds we believe that no-one should have no-one and by making a donation you are helping us be there this festive season to try and make a difference and raise a smile.

Even by missing one take out coffee, or one glass of wine at your Christmas party, and donating the cost to us instead, you will be making a big difference.
